I belong to many Christian forums, in fact host one of my own on Delphi for a few very close friends. There’s always things to learn from other perspectives. However I have learned to keep my growing Catholic views under control when among a certain few. There will always be hostility and tired arguments against the Catholic Church. As long as you’re prepared to be on the receiving end of some of this, then I see no harm in dropping in. Dr. Anders frequently says he associates with many folks outside the Catholic Church, and counts among his friends Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists and a whole host of others. It really depends on what you want to garner from joining this particular group. Being among people of diverse beliefs can be very eye opening and, when civility reigns, lead only to deeper understanding and respect. You can be a beacon and a fine ambassador for Catholicism if you approach them the right way.
