My mom faints everytime she prays. She fainted during adoration 20 times and the holy spirit started speaking through her that she made everyone in the chapel that wanted to help her put their head to the floor. Has this happened to anyone?

The only time I’ve fainted in prayer was when I didn’t have time to eat before the Communion fast and got light-headed and ill while kneeling.

At my parishes, if someone fainted once in Adoration, much less 20 times, the paramedics would be called because there would be a concern about a serious medical issue, and the person would probably have to have someone with them for any future Adoration to make sure they would be okay.

Someone who claimed to hear the spirit speaking through them at Adoration would probably be considered a bit disruptive. It’s supposed to be quiet time for each person there to be with God, not the charismatic hour. Unless this was during a specially scheduled charismatic prayer service with the Blessed Sacrament, of course.

I agree. It could be some underlying health issue-many people in my family faint a lot, usually when they are stressed, haven’t eaten, slept, or been adequately hydrated.

I totally agree with the above comments. I would definitely have that checked by a physician. Sounds as if there’s might be an underlying problem there.
