Faith Crisis, along with mental health issue

Hello, all!

Needing some renewed prayer and any advice you may have. So a few weeks ago I posted that I am having some mental health isssues. They continue to plague me and in particular, this issue is bugging me…

I don’t know how to explain it other than - I am scared of going to heaven. The thought came over me like a black cloud a few days ago out of nowhere when I sat down to dinner with the family. It came out of nowhere and I haven’t been able to shake it. Its irrational in the sense that I want to be happy and have peace, but its like a nagging fear that says “eternity?! With someone who knows and is EVERYTHING!!?? Won’t that be scary?” Again, I can’t put my finger on it or express it completely correctly, but that is the jist of it.

I suggest you talk to a priest, or email a priest. I did it one time, and I was given an excellent advice. I just googled “email a priest;” make sure the one you will be writing to is a real priest. GOD bless!

Prayer of St. Dymphna

Lord, our God, You graciously chose St. Dymphna as
patroness of those afflicted with mental, emotional, and
nervous disorders. She is thus an inspiration and a symbol
of charity to the thousands who ask her intercession.

Please grant, Lord, through the prayers of this pure,
youthful martyr, relief, and consolation to all suffering
such trials –– especially @patmickd01 for whom we pray.

We beg You, Lord, to hear the prayers of St. Dymphna
on our behalf. Grant all those for whom we pray patience
in their sufferings and resignation to Your divine will.
Please fill them with hope, and grant them the relief and
cure they so desire. We ask this through Christ our Lord,
who suffered agony in the garden. Amen.

Prayer for Perseverance

Lord Jesus Christ, I believe in You
as my God and my Savior.

Make me more faithful to Your Gospel and
commandments. By sharing in the Eucharist,
may I come to live more fully in the life You
have given me. Keep Your Love alive within
my heart and soul so that I may become
worthy of You. Teach me to value and give
thanks for all of Your Gifts. Help me to strive
for eternal life. Through Christ Our Lord, amen.

Divine Mercy…
I have been scared of Heaven and eternity since I was little. I worried that I was the only person with fears like that. Let’s pray for each other, it’s beautiful when people going through similar things pray for each other. God bless you.
