I just want to know, is it wrong to not believe in a faith healer or doubt them even if they invoke Jesus, Mary and the angels and saints? Is it wrong to be suspicious of evil spirits if you sense something not of God? Also can a faith healer pass down their gift or does can only God give that gift?

Okay, to make this more understandable, I had someone pray over me in the church, however I found two things a little off. One, the mention of “the third eye” and the second “pass down my gift to you” as in pass her “gift” to me in the form of a blessing. Lastly, I was told true healers don’t talk about themselves as healers and that they only give credit to God and show humility.

Dear CathMass,

I too had someone at church pray over me - no eyes or gifts mentioned. I did feel somewhat better for a few hours, but then things went back the way they were.

Anyone talking about third eyes or their gifts should definitely be avoided. Also, I would put in this group, anyone asking for money in exchange for the praying. Some individuals are not really con-artists in the sense that they are trying to take advantage of you. They could honestly believe what they are doing is good. In any event, stay away from them and pray for them if you want.

If you sensed something suspicious, that was probably the Holy Spirit alerting your soul.

I agree, third eye mentioning is definitely out of order. With all the real gifts of the Holy Spirit there are counterfit gifts from the other side!
There are many given the Gift of Healing, off the top of my head Mary Vadia comes to mind. There is no obligation to believe a certain person has the Gift of Healing or any of the other Gifts of the Holy Spirit. You don’t want allow just anyone to pray over you, there are alot of false movements like reiki, which is running rampid through the church with alot of nuns and priests involved. They actually employ a “spirit guide”, ew:(

Well, the third eye came up when the healer placed blessed oil on their head. Then the healer laid their hands on me. I believed it at first but then many doubts came even while the pray over was occuring. I felt something was out of place. My mother told me that that saint blessed oil had to now be put aside because it may have been defiled. So many doubts came because of this. I even had to contact my confessor.

Any other helpful opinions or tips?

Now, this healer is trying to calling me on the phone and I don’t want to deal with her. I admit I gave her my number because I thought she was legitimate.
Any comments?

Don’t answer the phone calls, it’s not worth risking the evil you may be exposed to. It’s always better to err on the side of caution then open yourself up to new age stuff. Pray for the person, and I will to!!!
