Faith Question

Hi guys! Ive been thinking… I lack faith sometimes. I feel that a possible thing holding me back is an irrational fear that all religion is conspiracy? So that the rich can control the masses?

I know its not true… but a certain part of me just cant shake off the doubt. Even though thinking rationally… I know this is not the case. Help!

Don’t let him have that kind of power over your thoughts. Fight back with prayer and the Sacraments.

Those seeds were implanted in me once and i stopped believing in the Catholic church but never cease to believe in Jesus, Mother Mary and the sacrament. Anyway, it didn’t do any good to me, if anything it put my soul in great danger. So take my word, the Catholic church is real and don’t judge her from the action of men but know it is spiritual.

We need her (Catholic church).

It is truly a gift from Jesus passed to this Apostles. Offer your doubt to God and ask him to reinforce your faith.

I suspect you’ve been unsuspectingly indoctrinated with Marxist beliefs in your education. Much of our education system has been taken over by Marxists, all the way from universities down to grade school. Marxism is the fruit of the Enlightenment movement, begun in France about three centuries ago, as an attempt to create a society without God. It has left a wake of human misery and suffering in its path ever since.

Someone once suggested a similar thought to me. “I don’t believe that stuff because it’s just a way for people to get your money” he said. It’s truly too bad Peter and Paul didn’t know this when they were starting the Church because all they got out of it was crucifixion and beheading!

I know you don’t need arguments. You did, after all, say it was an “irrational fear”. As suggested prayer will help, and I would also suggest learning the history of the Church, it will move you to see that it is not some conspiratorial big brother to fear, but rather a loving mother. It’s hard to be suspicious about something you know, so learn about it (and not from Dan Brown )

The rich have better ways of controlling the masses than religion, like advertising and mass media. Religion is the thing that strengthens people to resist, that’s why communists first eliminate religion from the culture, to make it easier to control the masses.

Anyway, irrational fears don’t respond to rational arguments. I suppose it’s why they are called that.

Faith is in God, not religion. You just talk to Him and let the rest go. Jesus never tried to control anyone.
