Falling in love with my best friend

Hi! I would have wanted to post this in the Back Fence or the Clubhouse so as to invite less judgment (I’m new to CAF), but then I saw that this subforum is all about our daily walk with Christ. If you feel this belongs to another forum, feel free to move my thread 🙂

I started this thread since ever since I discovered Catholic Answers, I couldn’t find a thread talking about falling in love with your best friend. The information I get on the Internet is just not appropriate to my situation.

I just want to ask those with experiences on falling for their best friends to share how did the experience go. I’d rather not talk about what’s going on with me and my best friend; suffice it to say we will soon settle the matter 🙂

The thing is, the person you fall in love with often quickly becomes your best friend, even if they weren’t before! Good luck in your relationship. 🙂
 
Thought I’d update this by saying that after much discernment (both on my part and his), we decided not to “go to the next level”. We’re both happy with the arrangement, and we believe this will give us lasting peace in the long run 🙂

I’d still like to hear other stories, if anyone’s willing to share (thanks by the way, Isca!) 🙂
