Does anyone know where there are some (free) resources for Catholic Bible Time for the family? It’s really easy to find lots of stuff for the non-catholic bibles but I can’t find anything for the Catholic bibles. What about any Catholic bible drills? Thanks!!!

There are websites out there that divide up the entire bible over a year and you read the entire bible over the course of said year.
Hubby and I did it and we set aside about 20 mins a night every night to read through and we took turns reading each chapter to each other.
I think it would be a wonderful thing to do as a family. Our kids are way too young to appreciate the real deal but I’m sure once they are in elementary school and can read on their own, we will do this again but as a whole family.

And yes, we used a website that covered the complete Catholic bible.

My dear wife and I like most everything from Tim Gray, Scott Hahn, and Jeff Cavins. Some of their study resources are:

The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation CD Set

Understanding The Scriptures: A Complete Course On Bible Study (The Didache Series).

Walking With God: A Journey through the Bible

HOW TO STUDY THE BIBLE - CD SET

ADVENTURES IN EXODUS - 5 CD SET

Dr Tim Gray’s *Adventures in Exodus *gave us our first and lasting “oh, now I see” moment of the “whole thing” about Bible study.

Look through this website, **Catholic Answers also has a place to SHOP. ** Their **Catechisms page **is especially complete. And for the money perhaps the best place to begin a Bible Study – is in the Catechism resources right here on Catholic Answers!

You are giving a blessing to your family by beginning your family study time. You deserve everyone’s thanks – raising a Catholic family is so difficult today. Peace and strength to your heart, with all our respect,

If your budget includes buying DVDs of Bible Study resources, this website, Catholic Answers has The Bible Timeline: The Story Of Salvation for $299, which is the best price I have seen, it is usually well over $300 at the other places I checked. We only bought the CD audio versions because the DVDs were way out of our budget! And the CDs were just fine. 🙂

Your parish church library should have lots of resources for free. 🙂

If you have questions on how to interpret the bible go to biblicalcatholic.com/apologetics/bible.htm. This website has most bible verses that are misinterpreted very easily.

Go to coworkersoftruth.com/bible-study. If you type a bible verse it will show a paragraph in the Catechism that explains the verse to you. Only verses in the Catechism can be looked up on this website.
