Hi everyone, if you would be so kind to read the entire post it’d be gratefully appreciated

My family is overwhelmed with stress right now especially my mom and I.

My mom, the loving mother that she is, insists she keeps on working so that I do not have to take on student loans for grad school. I always hear her saying, to herself, that once I graduate from grad school she can finally retire from her stressful job.

I do not mind taking student loans and then paying them off after, especially if it means relieving my mom from her stressful job, however she refuses. I am about to attend grad school, however the school I am attending I take no pride in and I am not proud of going to that school, but this is the only school that has accepted me as of now. On the other hand I am on the waitlisted for my first choice school and still patiently waiting for the possibly of being accepted.

We are extremely overwhelmed with stress right now that my mom resorts to valium (anxiety pill) to cope with the stress. Although she doesn’t mean to, this puts an enormous burden on my shoulders knowing that I am responsible for her unhappiness/stress levels. I am also stressed knowing that I am attending a school that I take no pride in, but nonetheless I have to attend and graduate and get a job in order for my mom to retire so that she can leave that stressful job of hers.

I am currently having doubts about faith, which I shouldn’t, but in this time of need, distress, and worry it’s hard to believe that God is helping us. I guess we should be thankful for our health though. I ask for prayers for great news, great health, strength, and support.

I thank you all, I pray for all of you each day, God Bless!🙂

I read you’re whole posts and I wish I knew what to do

Faith isn’t always easy but try to keep it

I really wish I could help your family
I will pray for you

And remember nothing on earth cannot be healed heavens happiness
Try to keep that in mind
Jesus is holding you

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Dear Jesus,

I humbly implore you to grant your special graces to our family. May our home be the shrine of peace, purity, love, labor and faith. I beg you, dear Jesus, to rpotect and bless all of us, absent and present, living and dead.

O Mary,

Loving Mother of Jesus, and our Mother, pray to Jesus for our family, for all the families of the world, to guard the cradle of the newborn, the schools of the young and their vocations.

Blessed Saint Joseph,

holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by your prayers in all necessities of life. Ask of Jesus that special grace which he granted to you, to watch over our home at the pillow of the sick and the dying, so that with Mary and with you, Heaven may find our family unbroken in the sacred Heart of Jesus.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular Pray3x and family, and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Pray3x in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

I have prayed that God will come into your heart and open your’s and your mother’s eyes as he did mine. From personal experience your situation sounds a lot similar to mine about 12 years ago. I said the same thing to God.

“I have done the things you asked, I have been faithful, but why have you abandoned me.”

This went on for years until one day I was all alone in my shop and sobbing and yelling at God and when I was done and calmed down he answered me. I actually felt him say I never abandoned you, you were just to stubborn to accept my help, trying to do it all on your own. Now that you are broken I can pick you up and start a new. The very next day, Wednesday, I was scheduled to have a meeting with my partners, who were the source of my stress. I went into the meeting and told them I would be leaving and starting my own practice, I gave them my shares of the practice and walked away with nothing. On Thursday my wife convinced me to keep my faith strong and go see and old church that was way out of our price range and no bank would ever give us a loan for. The owner agreed to carry the financing and we owned the building by Monday. The only thing that was left was going to the bank to get financing for the equipment. After weeks of hassle and run around when all seemed to come to a halt, I received a blank check in the mail from one of my credit cards that I never used. 0% interest for 12 months, no fees. That card had a $50,000.00 credit limit, God was definitely watching out for us. When we moved in my wife decorated the waiting room with a banner of the Footprints poem. It is a symbol of our journey to our new lower stress life. Still haven’t discovered the secret to stress free.

Sorry for the long story, I don’t want to come off as preachy, I just want to let you know sometimes we have to take that leap of faith and meet God half way. Student loans aren’t a bad thing, I graduated in 1992 with $70,000.00 in school debt already married with our first of 5 children. We survived and your mom needs to accept the fact that you will also. Our third is in her first year of college, all of them have student loans. I found it less stressful on the entire family to have them acquire the loans and I started to make the payments before they graduate. Maybe you can get the loans and your mom could cut back her hours and just start making payments for you.

You are in my prayers

I’m saying prayers

The Lord bless you, and keep you.
The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you.
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and grant you peace.

Praying…
*O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendor of Heaven, who brought forth the Son of God still remaining a Virgin, assist us in this necessity. O Star of the Sea, help us, and show us that you are our Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and earth, we humbly ask you from the depths of our heart to help us in this necessity. There are none who can withstand your power. O show us that you are our Mother.

O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. Sweet Mother, we place this cause in your hands. Amen*.

Just a suggestion: Why not take a year off from college, get a job and save for your tuition? It would take the stress off your Mother as well as you and you would be getting life experiences. Working is a good education, too. Will pray that the stress is resolved.

An Ancient Prayer to Saint Joseph**

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in thee all my interests and desires. O St. Joseph, assist me by thy powerful intercession and obtain for me all spiritual blessings through thy foster Son, Jesus Christ Our Lord, so that, having engaged here below thy heavenly power, I may offer thee my thanksgiving and homage.

O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating thee and Jesus asleep in thine arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near thy heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath.

St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for me.
