Family in mourning

Some here may recall that I have periodically asked for prayers for the organist at my church, Lorraine.
Today, sadly, I received word that Charlie, her husband of well over 60 years passed away on Monday evening.
They have many children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, the youngest of whom was born just last week…

The funeral will be on Friday. Please pray for him, & also for Lorraine & the rest of the family, as they gather, not as they hoped, to celebrate a new baby in their family, but the passing of a husband & father.

Zooey, you have offered many prayers for many in need on this forum and they have been blessed through your unselfish acts of charity. God bless you and keep you as a blessing to us all.❤️
 
Willl be praying for your friend, for her husband’s soul, for their family and for you, such a good friend.

Very sad! May the soul of Charlie and all souls through God’s Mercy rest ever in His Peace and may God comfort and console Lorraine and family and all friends as they gather to say goodbye and celebrate his life…and may The Lord richly bless all and the new baby…

Thank you all so much for your prayers.
I have to tell you that the newest little grandson was all ready named, but not christened, and his parents have added “Charles” to his name to honor Charlie.
This is serving as a source of healing for all…The baby was born very late, the doctors could not believe the pregnancy went on so long, but I think that our Lord may have arranged it that way, so that there would be a:) great-grandchild to carry on the name.
 
I pray that the Lord might bless his soul, and that he be welcomed into His kingdom. I also pray for his wife, children, and all his family, that they might find comfort in Him in this time of mourning.
