I used to listen to family radio from time to time and remember when Mr. Camping predicted the second coming in 1996. Now I’ve seen a billboard that mentions May 21. I’m just wondering if anyone can tell me what he thinks will happen then. Of course, I could just wait and see. Or not…

May 21st is the day of the commencement ceremony at the University of Texas at Austin. I for one expect lots of fireworks and tower lighting… but that’s about it.

Wait and see, that is, if you are interested in another lie.
It is clear, as far as I am concerned, that only the Father knows when exactly the world will end. Anybody pretending to know the date of the endtime must be lying unless he is the Father.
There had been several claims before: nineteen centuries ago because the apostle John was very old, ten centuries ago because the first milennium was about to end, two decades ago, as you have noticed. All of them were proven wrong

I also used to listen to Mr. Camping occasionally with his open forum program. I think it goes like this, on May 21 all “true” believers will be raptured off of the earth. Then the Great tribulation will begin and will end in October with the culmination being the end of the world.

I know he said that if he’s still around on May 22 it means that he wasn’t really saved. He says he missed it last time in the 90’s but this time he’s accurate.:

As Fr. Pacwa said on his program, when a caller inquired about this, he was going to invite HC for coffee the next day.

Now if the world is going to end on May 21, should I buy a present for my daughter’s birthday on May 22??😛

I’d suggest you do, Peggy, or your world may well end on May 22 - “what a cop-out lame excuse not to have a present ready for my birthday” kind of ending 😛

Knowing that the Devil deceives and can use us to discredit the Lord Jesus Christ, it is very obvious that Satan is working through Mr. Camping to be an anti Christ. We all know well that only God can proclaim or know when the world will end even if one has all the clue from the Holy Bible. Therefore, because the world will not end on May 21 or five months after, people who listens and believe him might not TRUST the Bible anymore because of Mr. Camping’s allegation that he gets the information from the Bible. HE IS TRYING TO DISCREDIT THE HOLY BIBLE BY WAY OF LIES!

That’s good to know. Practice makes perfect, they say. But I didn’t think he believed in the rapture.

Poor man, he believes that some people are predestined to heaven and others to hell and you should live as though you are one of the saved (and pray that you are) but you never know. It would be sad to think that you loved Jesus and tried to follow Him but turned out to be one of the predestined to hell people.

To the man’s credit, last time he didn’t say the bible was wrong; he said he was wrong in how he understood it.

I grew up listening to Family Radio and I used to have respect for Harold Camping as a man who really spent a lot of time studying and understanding the Bible, even though I felt he was rigid.

When he predicted the rapture in the 90’s, I was disgusted.

Now he’s doing it again.

I lost all respect for Family Radio.

Very true! Especially since she is a sergeant in the USAF!

Well, well, here it is May 22. It will be interesting to see if anyone is absent from work tomorrow. Perhaps only a very very very tiny remnant was raptured. Was Family Radio still on the air today??
