I don’t think I ever really talked to you on here… but I am going to miss reading your posts. You’re always so kind hearted, such a sweet person

God bless you, wherever you’re at

I expressed my goodbye to her already on the deleted thread, so I won’t repeat it, but I want to share some thoughts. It’s a death of sorts, whenever a special person like Barb suddenly leaves our midst.

One afternoon, a very dear loved one stopped in to visit me unexpectly and I was in the midst of something that I selfishly wanted to continue. I tried to repress my inward annoyance at the timing of this visit, when I felt the Lord impressing on my heart, “You don’t know how long you’ll have him.” I recognized that I should welcome the person attentively and put aside my interests.

And folks, how true it was … very shortly afterwards this person suddenly died in a tragic accident. I would hope that we might benefit from our dear Barb’s absence, and consider how warmly we welcome and treat all other posters who stop by to share themselves with us here on C.A. Of course, that will never bring her back to us, but at least we may profit from the consideration that “all things pass” … and gratefully appreciate the special gifts that come our way through others.

God bless,
Carole

I wholeheartedly share this opinion. Thank you, Carole… for expressing it so eloquently. And I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.

If we are so disposed… the “departure” of any forum member can be a reminder to us… of how short a time we have here (on earth) and how precious and valuable ALL of us are to God. And should be to, all of us.

Happy New Year :winter:

I thank you all very much indeed and a very happy 2009 to all! May The Lord bring to all CAF members and staff joy and prosperity in all things in this new year and onwards…

Barb:)

Howdy Cheeto1! And a very joyous and blest 2009 to you and to yours also.

Not to sure what you mean by “fast” but I am a very fast woman often…very fast indeed…I now and then need to move very very quickly, very…

Also, if I read “that was fast” correctly, I am a woman and dinky dye woman, as we Aussies say - hence I am liable to change my mind alarmingly quick to another polarity in the absolute extreme to that originally stated. Oh and I am faulted and can make mistakes. And we women know that we do not have to explain at all because we are women and constructed that way ! You see, Adam was lured into sin by only a woman after all. But it took the most intelligent of all the angels to go astray and being extremely highly intelligent, knew the challenge would be to convince the woman and from then on the ball would start rolling with Adam first in line:D and it knew that was the only thing that could happen since “it is not good for man to be alone” and the silly Curd (a play on three words) of a fallen angel could sit back and just watch …and now he again:mad: does:rotfl: . All as it were. …And then later after once God…

…ah well something for my blog entry at some point, God Willing…

I have not really returned but have ducked back her now and then for one reason or another and also to open for quick PM my PM Inbox now closed again- and no not to Joysong for any MTEK/Darlegs …

I only came back to share with you that yesterday for me and today for the USA according to an email correspondant of mine of rather regular standing from CAF here…and no to those who claim mystic-type esoteric knowledge…not Joysong and very wrong on that score:tiphat: …that [sign]yesterday was the birthday of St. Therese of Lisuex who said that one day she would send forth from Heaven a whole legion of little souls or words to that effect…an astounding saint and so very very human, faulted and weak and not afraid to state it…
members.chello.nl/~l.de.bondt/ThereseofLisieux.htm [/sign]whose parents are now blesseds and perhaps one or two of her sisters even too one day, perhaps even three - all in religion - who knows. Did you ever read “The Family that Overtook God” and a very Catholic book and great author, whose name escapes me, about a family in which every single one of them were saints if memory serves…many a long year since I read it and I am not too sure at 64yrs with much water under the bridge and probably more books even, whether I have actually read about it or just heard about it. There is another great book too be sure to read “The Man Who Listens”…I think by Patricia Caldwell.

God bless, cacha round the joint some where or other (joint = cyberspce). I only got an email just now from someone who is a member here on CAF and now a member on another Catholic site who sent privately to let me know that she was on Catholic Answers here too etc.

Here is an interesting question and please dont post here just think about it. If you heard someon say something like that God asks that we should abandon even Grace, if he should ask being God (!), would that sound to you like “commit a mortal sin” for that is the only thing that will remove the state of Grace. Either that person has trouble with English expression someone has said, …or perhaps, I dont know, that person just does not realize what they are saying. I dont know for sure where that person is coming from for goodness sake…for sure…altho we are http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/7/7_2_126.gif

Oh and BinA if you are hanging in here still to this point, perhaps we do know the same people huh - you did put this thread into the Spirituality Forum:mad: …LOL, BinA;)

Cacha round the joint, now and then maybe, God Willing always…Barb:)
