Fasting Before Communion---An Odd Twist

Your friend certainly did not make a confession, either, by jumping in with her “Me, too.” That was in way absolution for sin in your case or hers. She isn’t off the hook for 4 or 5 years of sins.

Sorry! That was supposed to say “That was in no way absolution.”
 
Don’t worry everyone! =) I let this go the moment I raised this whole thing as an issue during confession. And that confession-session happened nearly a month ago.

Again, I just have a quirk of being very thorough/graphic in giving details. It is the MA Theology track inside of me. Nothing else.

Next time you think you ate too close to Mass, then, stay in your pew and pray during the Eucharist.

This is a very good observation. When in doubt, abstain. OP, I think you’re veering towards scrupulosity. Take the good advice to heart and move on.
