fasting before Holy Communion

God Bless you and your family, you have the right attitude and are a great example to all of us. I’m thinking we should fast for an hour afterwards too so we can spend time thanking Our Lord for His awesome Gift.

I think we all need to do as we are guided by the Holy Spirit in response to our prayers. Keep in mind the start of this thread was to better understand the requirements of our Mother Church, so that I may teach the students properly. Of course I will pass on some of your family traditions and your thoughts so that they may better apply those teachings to their own expression of the Faith. We can always do more than the baseline requirements, and should do so, as we feel it helps us acheive communion with the holy people around us. thank you all for sharing the benifit of your thoughts.
