Greetings in Christ.
Every Friday I fast and abstain from meat. Should this be done during the Christmas Season and the Easter Season? I am unsure but I think it should since rogationtide occurs during the Easter Season and many fast on the Vigil of Pentecost. The past Saturday was a Major Rogation Day. I know Fridays are still Penitential days of observance, does that include Fridays during Eastertide and Christmastide? Thank you. God bless and Mary keep you.

The only time I’m aware that we’re specifically advised against such practices are solemnities, so I see no reason you couldn’t continue (aside from those days).

Your fasting and abstinence is a private devotion. You can do it when you wish. As Cor_ad_Cor said, we’re discouraged from fasting or abstaining on any solemnity (or a Sunday, which doesn’t apply) but other than that it should be fine.

If you are Latin Catholic doing penance on Fridays throughout the year, then the traditional practice is to do penance on all of them, excepting those that are solemnities. Now, the week after Easter is like Easter, so that Friday is excluded. For Byzantine Catholics the practice after Easter (Pascha) is the same as the Latin for that week, but also on a Friday that falls between Nativity (Christmas) and Theophany (Epiphany) there is no fast.
