Last night, I was listless and could not sleep so turned on the TV to pass the time. After a dozen channels flipped, I came upon an old World War I type black & white movie. I was about to change channels again until I heard someone being addressed as Father.
Interested, I watched. I was amazed. The priest is Father Duffy. In the movie, he does the sign of the cross, kneel and prayed for those under his care and put his life in jepardy for the soldiers of the 69th Irish infantry. This is indeed a heroic priest and Hollywood portrayed him nicely. I wished Hollywood would produce more films like this for our present day as we’re being fed an unhealthy dose of anti-Catholicism. I bet all Catholics, whether former or current, would feel proud being a Catholic after watching this film.
Warmest regards,
Ben
