Father lunges at Larry Nassar in court before being restrained

(CNN)The father of three daughters who were abused by Larry Nassar tried to attack the former doctor in an Eaton County, Michigan, court Friday before he was tackled and detained by security.

Randall Margraves said he was a “distraught father” and cursed at Nassar, but Judge Janice Cunningham told him that was not allowed in court.

I’m with the judge - that’s not how our legal system works. Still, I’d say the lunge was worth it, if only to make that POS soil his pants.

Just because the legal system isn’t perfect doesn’t mean you take it into your own hands and become a vigilante. We have to respect the laws we are given. I’m with the judge. Justice is being served with Nassar going to jail for the rest of his life. To me, that’s the legal system “working.” If it weren’t working Nassar would have paid his way out of being charged. Instead, his life is over.

I don’t think he is. Emotional outbursts happen. The judges usually understand that.

Agreed. After all, the man just heard the terrible details of how multiple of his daughters were assaulted by this man and was face to face with their abuser.

Justice is being served with Nassar going to jail for the rest of his life… his life is over.

In the past we have seen prisoners given early parole and others escaping supposedly escape proof penitentiaries.

Sure. But he’s not going to be eligable for parole for a hundred years or so. Also the rate of prisoners escaping is miniscule compared to those that don’t. America is good comparitively

In the past, sentences handed down by judges have been changed, lessened or even commuted. And prisoners have escaped.
