Father's day and priests

Is it at all appropriate to get a father’s day card for one’s pastor? What about one’s bishop? The Pope? If it is appropriate, are there special father’s day cards for spiritual fathers like priests and bishops? I only joined the church this year (confirmed a few weeks ago) so please pardon if this question comes across as incredibly ignorant.
 
I have not heard of this previously, but it would certainly be fine to honor spiritual fathers.
 
I was thinking about the same thing as OP. I don’t think spiritual fathers would be offended at all if you gave them a card or something.
 
I find inappropriate to give a priest a Father’s Day Card on Father’s Day.

But, Father’s day has digressed into just another day anyway, so it really doesn’t matter.

I’m reminded of a seminarian whose mother lamented that she’d never have any grandchildren. His reply was:
“You’ll have plenty of spiritual grandchildren, you just won’t know their names!” 😉
Most of our priests are pretty good natured about it, and appreciate the well wishes.

Yeah! Didn’t she know that mothers get a 2% credit on all babies their priest-sons baptize??
 
Some definitely yes, some definitely no, some unsure. I guess that should have been expected. :rolleyes: I guess I still don’t know. If I were a priest, I think that I would appreciate the gesture, but I wouldn’t expect it either. Those who say no to the idea; any particular reasoning as to why?
