Hello all. Does anyone have any experience with or knowledge of Faulkner University’s online PhD program in Humanities? It is not a Catholic institution, they are associated with the Churches of Christ denomination. I am not overly concerned with that as long as they aren’t anti-Catholic. The program is based on the “Great Books of the Western World” series. The program is accredited and not insanely expensive (705 per credit hour).
I already have an associates, bachelor, and master’s degree in a field related to my career. I specifically want a doctorate (not another masters) in something for my personal interest/enrichment. Since I am married with 4 kids and I work full time, a traditional program isn’t an option. I would certainly welcome a Catholic doctoral program but I haven’t found anything outside of a D.Min that requires an M.Div beforehand.
Any information anyone has about this school or an accredited Catholic doctorate online in this field or similar is welcome. Thank you.
