If I write a post and word it in a way that reads uncharitable, can you please ask me to confirm rather than throw me under the bus or accuse me of belittliting people? I am simply relating experiences…no more, no less. I will be the first in line to discipline my kid if I’m told he does something wrong. With him being on the autism spectrum, my first thought is that my son offended someone by being overly blunt.
When I commented about Catholic (and I will include private special ed schools), it was based on the fact that my son’s therapist took a lot of time (with us footing the bill) to help the faculty better understand my son and implement accommodations if they can. When the school says they will and do not, I am sad and disappointed. God bless you.
And I agree with the poster that my son has not obtained the skills he’s needed to be successful in a brick and mortar environment. I have to remember that life is a marathon, not a sprint.
