What is your Catholic heirloom from another that you hold in high regard

I didn’t know alot about him still don’t but I have his rosary it is very special to me

How about you?

The old glass Holy Water bottle with its sprinkler top that my sainted Irish Grandmother used, going from room to room, sprinkling as she went, during a thunderstorm - every time there was a crash of thunder.

Convert here with no grandchildren, so, I will likely not even pass on heirlooms!!

I have a rosary that my father used when he was a POW during WWII.

Three items:

A Rosary blessed by St. John Paul II that belonged to my dad. It was in his hands when he passed away.

A pewter medal also blessed by St. John Paul II.

Mrs. Glennon has a Rosary and prayer booklet from her late mother.

All very near and dear to us.

I have three:

A sick call box that hangs on a wall. There is a little space at the bottom with a door that has the candles, plate, etc. This belonged to my grandparents.

Prayer book from my mom.

A crèche that my mom bought, a couple of pieces at a time, from the 5&10 cent store in the late 40s.

I have one of these I need to put back together! My mom called me up one day all excited, she found it on the top of someone’s trash and brought it home for me. Neither one of us knew what it was but she figured I would like it. I hate to say how long ago that was.

Well I guess I should have said that gifts count too if they are very important

Yes I am a first generation Catholic and my favorite thing is a rosary that my sponsor made for me when I became Catholic

A pearl-colored rosary with gold cross, given to me on the occasion of my Confirmation in 2001, by my friend. We are still friends, but I don’t know where the rosary is right now.

A brass crucifix that was laid on the casket of my maternal grandfather for his funeral rites, circa 1984. Grandpa was the first of my grandparents to die; he had lung cancer from working on the railroad.
