Anything by Pearl S. Buck is fantastic.
I have to disagree…‘the good earth’ was horrible…read it in one of my lit classes in high school…

Good clean fiction…I liked grapes of wrath by Steinbeck.

Love comes softly series by Janette Oke (Set in the 1800s…)

Anne of Green Gables

My favorites too. Love Comes Softly series is run, ever so often, on the Hallmark Channel.

Hey. Just revisited my thread here. 😉

Well I like historical fiction and mysteries best. There’s plenty of Christian authors who write historical fiction, but I have yet to discover other clean mysteries besides the EVER popular Mary Higgins Clark. Anyone know of any?
I mentioned Aimee and David Thurlo’s Sister Agatha mystery series.

There is also my mystery series (see my signature line.)

And there are others listed on the websites I posted earlier.

Second the recommendation on bluerose’s novels. 🙂

The Sister Joan mystery series by Veronica Black about a cloistered nun in England who investigates murder mysteries.

Anything by Jean Stratton Porter. She wrote about women in the 1930 and 1940s. Girl of the Limberlost is one of my favorites. Plus, all of her books are free on Kindle.
