Okay, I have to come clean. A guilty pleasure of mine is fast food. I drive for a living so I eat at these places way more than I’d like to admit. My favorites are Subway and Chik-Fil-A. Does anyone else have any favorites?

Favorites: McD’s (at least the smaller cheap items like the dollar burgers), Wendy’s (for when I want a bigger burger or a chicken sandwich), Dunkin’ Donuts, Wawa mostly for coffee and snacks because their sandwiches are often pretty bad. There is also a regional chain called Freddy’s that’s very good and more of an old-fashioned burger and fries taste.

Occasional: Chick-Fil-A (overpriced, high fat and the lines are incredibly long), Popeyes, Taco Hell, KFC (their chicken has been greatly improved since 2015 when it was absolutely terrible), Roy Rogers for chicken only (there are very few of these left), Pizza Hut, Dominos, Starbucks (don’t really like the taste of most things they serve)

Avoid like the plague: Subway (tasteless sandwiches), Jimmy Johns (owner is a trophy hunter), most other chain pizza places (crust tends to be too soft for me), Tim Hortons (too many bad quality experiences)

The Sourdough Jack at Jack in the Box is a guilty pleasure, as is the Breakfast Burger at Carls Jr.
In ‘n’ Out burgers are tasty, as are Quarter Ponders at McDonalds (where I worked in 1979, one of my first jobs). I like KFC and Del Taco too, occasionally, and Pizza Hut as well.
I’m just a junk food junkie, Good Lord have pity on me! Everything in moderation…

Good choices. I must beg to differ on Tim Hortons (the one where I am has really good quality, and my brother is planning on getting a job there anyways), and Subway (Then again, I only eat their pizza subs.
most other chain pizza places (crust tends to be too soft for me)
Pizzaville has harder crust, but I think that’s a Canadian chain. And of course the occasional pizza places you mentioned.
Starbucks
I don’t exactly agree with the company’s ideals, as opposed to those of Chick-Fil-A’s owner.
McD’s (at least the smaller cheap items like the dollar burgers)
I really like the fries, in particular.
Wendy’s (for when I want a bigger burger or a chicken sandwich)
Unfortunately the one where I am has excruciatingly slow service 😦
Dunkin’ Donuts
I would also recommend Krispy Kreme’s original glazed donuts microwaved for 8 seconds 😋
Taco Hell
My family had good service there, the guy even gave our family complimentary churros.

Wendy’s for hamburgers.

McDonald’s for breakfast and french fries and their fish sandwich. The last time I ate their hamburger meat I got a horrible stomach ache and haven’t ate it since.

Burger King french fries. Nothing else on their menu appeals to me.

If I get a coupon in the mail I’ll go chick fil A for the chicken sandwich. They haven’t been sending them recently. I’m not that big on chicken sandwiches anyway. I eat enough chicken at home.

Arbys sometimes for the regular roast beef sandwich and curly fries.

Wawa for their breakfast sandwich. Their hot dogs are good too. Their lunch sandwiches have gone down hill. If I want a hot or cold lunch sandwich independent places are better.

If I want a donut I find Wawa and grocery stores are better and more filling than Dunkin Donuts.

For some reason there’s a bunch of them on the PA Turnpike westbound. That and a couple other PA highways are the only place I ever see them. One of them lets the chicken dry out.

Wendy’s had good chicken, but quit offering it years ago - only sandwiches now.

There used to be a Roy Rogers on the
Atlantic City Expressway but it closed within the last two years. There was one near me over 25 years ago. Then it changed into a Boston Market for a few years. It’s been a McDonald’s now for about 20 years.

I used to love Church’s Fried Chicken. It had an outlet near my university for some years, and then had one on the other side of town near my family home for a few more years. Sadly they have both gone out of business. Seems like it is mostly a Southern states chain and can’t seem to keep an outlet open in the North.

I did find one in Dayton right near where my friends and I hang out every year, and you can bet when the tornado went right down that street (N. Dixie Drive) I looked to see if the Church’s got hit (it didn’t, and my favorite independent pizza shop was also spared, Thank you Jesus).

I’ve also noticed that fried chicken in general seems much more prevalent in less affluent neighborhoods. It’s a bit annoying - I don’t lose my taste for fried chicken and suddenly want a bowl of icky overpriced quinoa when my income goes up.

Roy Rogers Gold Rush sandwich for the win!! That’s all I ever get on the rare occasion we go there. We still have Roy’s here where I live. 😊

I have never lived where there is a Roy Rogers.

I like Cane’s, KFC, Church’s, El Pollo Asado, In N Out Burgers, McD’s, Wendy’s.

They just opened a White Castle here, but I am waiting for the newness to wear off because about 10 days ago there was still a 3-4 hour wait in the drive-thru.

Oh that’s just insane… It would be faster to just walk in and order. 😉

I would never wait for White Castle.

I had a craving for it when I was pregnant with my first. My husband went to get me some, and then I had terrible terrible heartburn.

I haven’t had it since.

It’s not very good in my opinion.

White Castle is renowned for causing a mad rush to the bathroom after it is consumed.

The fact that White Castle in many places is the only 24-hour or post-midnight fast food available, and people tend to go there after drinking for a few hours, just makes it worse.

Reminds me of a story my parents told me.

My mother also craved White Castle.
There was not one in the city, so my dad ended up driving about 4 hours one way to fulfill the craving.
