I like Bach’s Easter Oratorio. It kind of is a hymn. I also liked this hymn in Tagalog that they sung at my parish a few weeks ago.

I honestly can’t say what my favorite hymn is.

I’m single and have no children, but I imagine my favorite hymns must be something to me like one’s children are to their parents. Just as a parent must love each of their children for who they are in and of themselves - how can I say one of my favorite hymns is better than another? It seems once they reach a point of perfection - they can only be different, and yet they are all still a part of me.

But here are a few of my favorites (in no particular order)…
