Thank you Eliza10 for posting my original Bouguereau AND these! The one with St. John-Baptiste is actually the current wallpaper on the computer right now (we cycle between Bouguereau’s Madonnas and family pictures!) There’s just something so serene, severe, and solemn about Bouguereau’s Madonnas, I can’t get over it. And the way the Infant looks so lifelike, so welcoming, it really helps me remember that He was fully Divine AND fully human.

Thanks everyone for posting such beautiful pictures of our Lady- and just in time for Mother’s Day!
