I’m leaving out Aslan because of who he represents. I have a feeling if I didn’t, he’d dominate the thread. So my favorites are Edmund, Reepicheep, and Lucy.

I love those characters, too, but to add to the list, I’ll say Puddleglum. My dh and I are always kidding about looking ghastly instead of cheerful when we feel we are forced to be merry. He was a truly original character as was Tolkien’s Gollum (although certainly not as complex a character).

Pudlegum–and I especially liked Tom Baker’s portrayl of him in the Wonderworks production of The Silver Chair

Digory’s uncle-the magician (can not think of his name) and the White Witch. I like villains-besides being a nice emotional release their opposition to the forces of good allow the good to shine and stand out.

Lucy! I love her simple faith - she believes even when her older siblings do not and even when they ridicule her. In the end, its always Lucy who is right! She’s a good model for us to follow. 👍

I think Puddleglum was probably the favorite years ago when I read these to my children. However, Reepicheep was also popular.

I really like all of them, but I’d have to say that I identify with Eustace - I can be a bit selfish and dimwitted about things from time to time (of course, I mean before his conversion- I’m still in the midst of mine!)

I love Lucy - how could you not? I wish I had a simple faith and trust that she shows.

“His name was Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it.” 😃 Eustace was a great character.

I think it’s impossible not to love Reepicheep.

I really like the Jill-Eustace-Puddleglum interaction in The SIlver Chair, especially when Puddleglum irritates one of the kids beyond bearing. It’s so cute.

I think my most favourite characters are the ones with small roles: Trufflehunter the Badger, Caspian’s half-breed tutor, the dwarves Shasta meets who feed him breakfast, the fallen star who rules the Dufflepuds, the beautiful dryads, Jewel the unicorn, the bear who fights so valiantly in The Last Battle. The dwarf who follows Tirian and Jill, and enters Aslan’s country.

Oh, how could I forget Hwin and Bree the talking horses

I loved that slimey little dwarf in the movie, he should get an oscar for best supporting actor
“special food for a special boy”

Reepicheep is probably my favorite character. I also liked Emeth, the Calormene who follows the Narnians into Aslan’s Country.

Gotta be Mr. Tumnus. Anyone who can walk around bare-chested in the middle of winter is a real man’s man, even if he does have goat-legs 😛

I’ll bet THAT’S what put the hair on his chest…😃
