Since I am in the US I am asking about this country, what is your favorite shrine, basilica or other pilgrimage site in this country? Where is it, when did you visit, did your trip involve a walk or hike, what is outstanding about it.

The Basilica of the National Shrine of The Virgin of San Juan de los Lagos del Valle in San Juan Texas is the most famous pilgrimage site in the Rio Grande valley attracting thousands of visitors from US and Mexico, replica of an image of Our Lady from a shrine in Mexico. The outdoor stations around a walking path is outstanding. I also like Our Lady of the Snows, the shrine of the Missionary Oblates in Bellville, Illinois.

A unique pilgrimage of sorts is a bicycle trail ride along the old Oblate trail from Brownsville to Roma, along the route the circuit riding Oblate priests took in the 19th century to bring Mass and the sacraments to remote settlements along the Rio Grande River. There are legs of various lengths along the trail, this event is in April
