Just curious if anyone has a song that you like that has a scriptural theme or one based on religious Tradition that you’d like to share. For example, I like Ave Maria and consider it a beautiful and reverent song, even though I am not Catholic.

A song from the mid 1960’s that comes to mind that falls into this category is ‘Turn, Turn, Turn’ by ‘The Byrds’ that even rose high on the secular music charts. It is based on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8.

He’s Alive by Don Francisco…available on youtube (I’m new and am not authorized to post links yet)

“Let it be”, by the Beatles sounds like a song about the Virgin Mary, but it’s not. HOWEVER, Paul McCartney said he has no problem with people thinking of it that way. Still a good song, and my favourite song by the Beatles.

Alleluia !!!

At last @LML I have found another fan of Don Francisco . 😄

His songs speak to me like no other Christian singer does .

This is one of my favorite scriptural songs. It’s by Catholic artist John Michael Talbot from the Bread of Life Discourse in John 6

How do you post videos?

I love Spoke in the Wheel by Zakk Wylde.

How do you post videos?
I’m not the best at giving high tech information @Justin_Mary , but I get the video on YouTube , then I copy and paste the bit at the top where it says " htpps//www.youtube …" , and then I put what I have copied on to where I am posting , and somehow the video appears .

Thanks to those who have replied so far. I’ve liked listening to them. 👍

Genesis Supper’s Ready

Not only my favorite song based on scriptue but my favorite song period. It’s long and not all of it is based on scriptue but some of it is.

Here is the ending:

“There’s an angel standing in the sun
And he’s crying with a loud voice
“This is the supper of the mighty one”
Lord of Lords, King of Kings
Has returned to lead his children home
To take them to the new Jerusalem”
