We are still far enough away from Valentine’s Day for 2 day shipping. I always use my actual good ideas for birthdays, Christmas, and anniveraries. By Valentine’s I’m just out of good ideas.

What are some of your favorite gifts you have given or recieved for Valentine’s day? Maybe it will help some of us think of ideas.

My sister was born shortly after Valentine’s Day when I was little.

That year I remember my dad came home with two heart shaped boxes of chocolate, one for me and one for my mom.

So I got two gifts, chocolate and a baby sister. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I just reread the OP. The Baby sister idea won’t work. 😉

Valentine’s Day is low key in our home. Usually candy and maybe a stuffed animal, or something red like socks or a t-shirt.

For my husband I might get a book, or a mug.

An ex boyfriend from college got me a stapler for Valentine’s day. Friends who hear that story joke that’s why he is an ex, but it was a really awesome stapler.

My husband has been getting me new bras for Valentine’s day the past few years. Sorry if that’s TMI but fellas that’s a good gift. Something that is useful and needed and doesn’t clutter up the house. Over time, they get all dilapidated and explode so it’s a good gift to get new ones.

I need to think of something like that, where its an easy go-to yearly gift replacing something needed that a person doesn’t have time to get for themselves.

a really awesome stapler.
I would love 💗 that too! And like you, remember the person who gave it to me. I’m crafty, so receiving such tools shows the person knows what I like. A good zigzag scissor, please. Or fancy decorative hole punch. 😍😘

Chocolates. Never go wrong. 💝

I tend to give my wife gift certificates for something she can use to relax/pamper/enjoy. These have been for massages, mani/pedicures, dinner out with her good friend. This year it is a series of sessions in an isolation/float tank. I also have flowers for her; not the Valentine Day specials, but a smaller bouquet like I usually get every couple of weeks.

We don’t really do gifts for Valentine’s Day. But my husband better get me a card or else!

I have always made a special dinner for my family on Valentine’s Day. The table was nicely set, a heart shaped tin of candy on each plate. No fancy candy, just Hershey kisses, or Reese’s cups or whatever my kids liked. Paper hearts hanging from strings off the ceiling lights.

I still have a little note my daughter put in my Valentine one year that said she would miss my special Valentine dinner when she went away to college the next year. 💕 And she said it again the next year.

Never grew up celebrating St Valentine’s Day …I do see some evidence on tv and in the pharmacy and Supermarkets.Kind of a curiosity but a new comer to our culture me thinks.

Kind of a strange commemorative feast day.

When I was a younger, my parents got me one of those miniature lego sets😂

I’m thinking that a yearly new pair of pants with a love note or some other special thing in the pocket might function as an equivalent useful/functional but not extremely romantic thing. He is always finding weird holes and throwing away pants. The supply dwindles.
