Favorite TV game show

Anyone else a TV game show fan? I guess I like them because for the most part they are fun…you get to play along and guess the answers and they very seldom have anything in them that is immoral or offensive. What is your favorite?
I like “The Price is Right” because,
  1. You don’t have to answer any hard questions.All you have to know is how much stuff costs.
  2. If you wear red you might get picked.
    3)Unlike other shows if you are fat you will still get picked to play a pricing game.
    4)I really like Bob Barker after he punched out Adam Sandler in that golf movie a few years back.
 
I like the family fued. I don’t know why, I just like it. I grew up watching it.
 
Who Wants to a Millionaire…its interesting and fun…and I like Jeopardy,too
 
Password - oh, wait that one isn’t on the air anymore. Of the shows still on the air, I like Jeopardy - don’t watch it often though, making dinner and watching the news at that time here.

Match Game
Press Your Luck (all-time favorite)
Card Sharks
Truth or Consequences
Concentration

I never cared much for The PRice is Right.
 
I like Family Feud (with Richard Karl who plays Al in Home Improvement)
 
I third “The Price is Right”. Brings back fond childhood memories of watching it in the summer with Grandma.

I also like Family Feudm but I liked it best with Richard Dawson.

Nothing is ever discontinued as long as there is cable TV! I love watching What’s My Line and all the other early game shows on Game Show Network. Although they are not aired as often as they used to be, you can still catch them on occasion.

I think the shows from the 1950’s were some of the most intellectual game shows to air (except maybe Beat the Clock-- not much knowledge needed for that one!)
 
I like (in no particular order) Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, Millionaire, What’s My Line, I’ve Got A Secret, Match Game, Family Feud, Beat the Clock (old 1950s version), The Price is Right (old and current versions), Supermarket Sweep (appears to be gone, sadly), and Shop Til You Drop (but only the old version, where the contestants performed stunts).

I don’t get to see too many game shows – I’m usually not home early enough for the prime time ones, and my cable provider has chosen to use the Game Show Channel for some stupid, leased-access nonsense in the late night hours, so I don’t get to see the old shows they broadcast at that time. :mad:
 
When flipping channels I get stuck on “Deal or No Deal” I can’t figure it out…it’s a really dumb show but hard to turn off.
 
Jeopardy or the Price is right… I started getting into Deal or no deal but it kind of gets a little old after awhile, basically the same thing every episode.
 
Jeopardy. I like the format, especially that the questions are more involved than the People magazine gossip du jour.

Also, I really like Alex as a host. We used to watch him when I was in high school and he hosted a local high school quiz show in Toronto called “Reach for the Top”.
 
LOL! I love that part of Happy Gilmore!

That’s my favorite game show of all time. My other was Name That Tune, too bad they don’t still have that show.

I bought the dvd game, but my son thinks it’s boring. Now I’m out $30. :rolleyes:

I’m not a huge game show fan but I do like Deal or No Deal. It’s kind of stupid but for some reason it’s addicting. Also, I have a thing for Howie Mandell. 😃
I also like to watch Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune sometimes and play along.
