It is up to each to determine what they feel they can do or not do.
However it is like toning up the body muscles. The exorcises to do this start out short and simple, and little by little the exorcises are extended. Why? To promote even greater strength and fexability for the body. In a way, this is similar for the soul.
Listen to the Holy Spirit to see if you feel it would be best to add more to your prayer life. Usually it works out that if you start out slowly for a while, then add to it when and if you can. The rosary was recommended by our blessed Mother Mary so you can’t go wrong following her choice.
It might be helpful to remember that the rosary is a prayer requiring self control and of giving one’s time. So not only is it a meditative prayer about Jesus’ life and example for us to follow, and to realize his love for us, but also gives us another aspect to our spiritual life … discipline and self control … to do it even when it is difficult and time demanding. It is a form of complete dedication to God, our love, our thought, our discipline, our dedication.
