This Sunday is the Feast of the Assumption which displaces the 20th Sunday of Ordinary Time. Since there are different readings for the vigil and the feast itself I am wondering if the readings for the vigil will be used at all this year. The Saturday evening Masses will use the Sun readings which will mean that the readings for the vigil will not be used, correct?

No, they should use the readings for the Vigil of the Assumption.

If I remember correctly, the Vigil Mass, and Readings, are only for Vigil Masses, i.e. those celebrated late in the day. Saturday morning will use the Readings for St Maximilian Kolbe, whose memorial is that day.
