The whole month of July is dedicated to the Precious Blood, in the same way as May is to Mary, June to the Sacred Heart or November to the Holy Souls. My resolution is to say that litany every day this month!

I’m praying that it gets put back on the calendar. It has been so called joined with the feast of Corpus Christi, now known as the body and blood of Christ, but many people today have no idea what Corpus Christi is about anyways…

It was a Feast that commemorated the Holy Blood of Our Lord that was shed for us. It originally was observed on the first Sunday in July, then later it was transferred to July 1st, now it’s off the calendar compleatly, it is now semi-joined with the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.
