Feeling "down" this week...prayers please!

Please pray for me, I have been feeling really down this week. My scrupulosity is in overdrive, and I have this constant, nagging fear I am never going to get things right in confession or with God and that I am going to hell. I hate when this happens, it makes me SO ill physically, mentally, and spiritually. 😦

It seems that the more time I spend here…the worse it gets. (I guess somebody doesn’t want me here…gee…I wonder who that is!) :rolleyes:

Well…all I can ask for is prayers. May God bless you for your kindness! 🙂

May I suggest praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet, this is a great help to me when I am distressed.

Been there, done that, wait still living that.

So literally I can say “I know how you feel.”

I will offer up prayers for you. A rosary intention or as a part of my holy hour tomorrow!

I will pray for all of your intentions and that God will grant you the grace, courage, and strength, to make it through each day.

I have found the book Arise from Darkness extremely helpful. It has some nice prayers at the end of the book that are especially helpful during the dark times we all face from time to time.

You are not alone in your struggles, and I will keep you in my prayers!

Do me this favor too.
I want you to say this prayer to God:

“Jesus, my scrupulosity is in overdrive, and I have this constant, nagging fear I am never going to get things right in confession or with You and that I am going to Hell. I ardently desire to go to heaven and live eternally with you. My desire to be perfect for you is driving me over the edge. When this happens, it makes me physically, mentally, and spiritually ill. I am doing my best, but cannot fix this problem without your help. I want to be healthy and in unity with you. Please correct my scrupluous feelings so that I may love you without anxiety, but with love and ‘healthy’ Holy reverence. Jesus heal me of this affliction. Amen.”

That would be the Devil.
This a great place to learn. And it’s peaceful around here. It’s not a flamefest like secular forums.
