I came across a video discussing a sexual assault a women experienced in india. I liked the video, commented something supportive but I can’t bring myself to watch it. I have OCD and suffer from instrusive thoughts and i just in general hate watching sad things and I’m worried im being disrespectful to the girl and insulting God

God does not require you to watch disturbing videos.
Some people, probably most people, can’t handle watching videos about horrible crimes. It’s not disrespectful to know your own limits. Be at peace.

I totally agree with the other posters. Always protect your inner peace from disruptive influences like that video.

I also don’t follow links which may give me strange ideas, I think we have enough to deal with without adding to our wild imaginings.

God bless you dear.

Nothing wrong with your choice. You’re still able to sympathize with their plight without watching the video, and that’s the important thing.

I rarely watch anti-abortion movies.
I’m already anti-abortion, so I don’t need further convincing.

Be careful of scruples, and there have been reports of women being raped on the way from Mexico into the USA

Don’t you worry, OP. You didn’t do anything wrong. In fact, you did the right thing.

I’d go a step further that often the victims of violence are again exploited by having their stories/images shared without their consent. Nope, I do not watch that sort of thing.
