Would need a bit more info, What concerns do you have about the parish? I my self was born into a Catholic family but I turned away from my faith a number of years ago. I have just very recently come back to my Faith so perhaps I can help.

See the Pastor. He’s the one that can sort out “feelings” first impressions, or misgivings. No one here can do that.
Encouraging a person to leave their parish is the last thing I would do. It’s not anyone’s place. See the priest …he’d love to talk to a potential convert.
God bless you on the journey.

Can’t really talk with him, or others, about the situation.

The nearest other parish is ~50 miles away, not counting going to a neighboring state.

It’s my understanding that confirmation of adults can be done at times other than the Easter vigil. Perhaps that might be a solution.

Given thats it’s currently Holy Week it’s unlikely you would be confirmed this Easter, but have you already been baptised? I think you need to talk to someone about your situation before you start RCIA, which yes can be done throughout the year.

Why? could you spend some time in the phone with him, or send him an email?

As a Catholic who often feels ill suited to typical parishes I would argue that it can be done, you ideally need some self sufficiency and other support for when things are hard.
