Hi everyone,I’m a 34 year old male and have been a Eucharistic Minister for 2years now(assisting at mass and going to the sick) but I’ve been struggling with it since day1 and I’m really considering stepping down,I think the main prob is (tho there’s a few) is my love for Jesus in the Eucharist,I truly believe that Jesus’s body, blood, soul and divinity is in that tiny white host and me and sinner holds him the king of kings in my unholy hands to give to others,I understand the church needs lay people to help and il always be obedient to mother church, i also go to confession every 2 weeks but I just feel unworthy and often think that on the day of my judgement when I go before the Lord he my judge me on this etc so please my brothers and sisters in Christ please help me make the right choice,God bless x

I understand your dilemma but I think you are missing a larger point. Yes, we are all unworthy to hold the Lord in our hands. However, we are even more unworthy to receive him into our soul when we receive communion. If you feel able to receive the Lord into your heart and soul (the sources of all our sins) then distributing the sacrament to others pales by comparison.
