Yet, aren’t people who support abortion actually sending the message that women aren’t adults because they are allowed to forgo the natural consequences of having sex. Yet, a man can’t choose not to pay child support if the woman chooses to keep her infant(nor should he be able)

Couldn’t an arguement be made that if women are allowed to get abortions then women are not considered equal to men?

I agree. When I was younger, I strongly believed in pro-abortion. I had a male friend of 19 whose girlfriend got an abortion and told him afterwards. Now I am embarrassed that I tried to comfort his pain by saying,“Yes, but she was exercising her right to choose. Isn’t that wonderful?” If she had kept the child and demanded child support I would have been outraged at my friend not paying and would have told him that if he hadn’t wanted kids he should have worn a condom.

What I didn’t understand then was that I was putting all the responsibility on the man and none on the female. I was expecting adult behavior from men but not from women.

If I could find that young man now, I would apologize to him.

It is not uncommon for us, when we are young, to seek simplistic and short-term solutions. But later on, we regret that.

The issue if not equality, or being grown up, or having rights over your own body. The issue if murder. That is what abortion is. As soon as conception takes place, a human soul is created as the soul is the principal of human life. If you kill the child you commit murder. That is why abortion is wrong. You can always come up with arguments why the mother should not have the babe. If that is the case, put the child up for adoption. Don’t kill it. Abortion is murder of an innocent child. Please don’t kill it.

I totally agree but to get through to the Pro-abortion crowd, we need to change the way they think about this “choice” If they could accept that their choice was way back when they said yes to sex, that would be great but unfortunately this society has taught us to always take the easy way out, even if it means death to a baby. It is all about them, not their babies…

Before I say anything, let me point out I am an adult woman. Moving on.

Sometimes I wonder if God made a big mistake letting women be the ones who get pregnant. I honestly feel disgusted to be in the same gender as many women in america. There is no equality on their mind, only preferential treatment. If it doesn’t matter what you have stashed in your slacks, why do they keep reminding us? sigh
How can they expect to be treated like “ladies” when they are killing their own children! Although, in all fairness I see men who say “it’s HER choice” is making pregnancy a “woman’s problem” even though it has as much to do with the dad as the mom, so in treating it this way he is just adding to the problem, and is just as guilty. Not taking responsibility for his actions.

I guess I just don’t understand why anything to do with sex is treated as a free right. You must be a responsibile adult except for anything dealing with sex. Then it’s a free playground, no matter who you have to kill. It really really really gets me down. I have no faith left in the women of today anymore.

Thank you!! I agree wth you too. I mean, yeah we need the right to vote, but for pete’s sake!! I don’t know why equality with men needs to mean BETTER than men. Women of today seem so confused. They want to be waited on hand and foot like the ladies of yesteryear were, they want to be treated like princesses by men, yet they demand equal treatment in other arenas. Does this seem like madness to anyone else?

I just can’t figure out why the simplest of all things seems forgotten. It takes TWO people to have sex, and TWO people to make a baby. Sex is FOR making babies, so if you are so terrified of having kids you’d KILL one, just DON’T Have sex!

Yet the most insidious is partial birth abortion. They say that having the birth would harm the mother, yet they stop the birth process to kill the baby, without anesthesia. Is partial birth abortion banned now?

I agree. I was at my gym, and I was reading a magazine that was left there, and kind of battered. In it was a woman who found out her kid may not survive the pregnancy, so rather than hope her daughter COULD live, she decided to slaughter her kid, and the magazine was APPLAUDING her for her “courageous choice.”

Yeah. I ripped the pages out and threw them away.

For a woman to be able to end the life of HER OWN CHILD before it is even born, in a manner that violates the Geneva Convention, and to do it with praise and encouragement from our own government, is the ultimate act of terrorism. She had nothing to say, just mumbled something about how I didn’t understand (how much clearer can it get?)

So maybe we should start calling abortion what it REALLY is–terrorism.
