I hope this is the right forum for this. Just this week, a Danish couple was held for forcing their two daughters to go through with female genital mutilation. I find this to be very disgusting and female genital mutilation must be stopped immediately! Here is a link to the article about the Danish couple:

In other news, Egypt has recently made it a crime to perform or force someone to undergo female genital mutilation:

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, please educate people out of this awful practice. It is evidence of lack of trust in the girls’ morality, and it is a violations of their rights as human beings. You did not create us as You have in order that we be mutilated. Please protect these and all girls from this painful and unjust mutilation.

Lord have mercy! I once read (if I remember in Reader’s digest) about a woman who had this happen to her. I can’t remember her name, but she was from Africa and ran away a few years after this happened and ended up as a slave to a couple from Italy. Well, they ended up in the UK, where she was allowed to stay. Anyway, she received some medical help due to the fact that she had been “sewn up too tight.” She said that to urinate, which shouldn’t take very long, it took her ten minutes. I think she even ended up as a model. This was a few years ago, so I don’t remember all the facts and stuff.

It’s sick. I don’t know what the US can really do about it, though, other than continue to let refugees into the country. Military action or economic sanctions would have unpredictable effects.
