I wonder what these people will think when they lay dying in a nursing home with no one gathered around them but paid medical staff checking their vital signs. They will have no family caring for them- they didn’t have a family, and maybe their family doesn’t see the importance of their family, so they chose to work overtime to make more money rather than visit their dying parent in a nursing home.the “family — with its repetitious, socially invisible, physical tasks — is a necessary part of life, but it allows fewer opportunities for full human flourishing than public spheres like the market or the government
“Women Who Make the World Worse” That is the best description I have ever heard for radical feminism! On the same subject, I saw a recent interview of Kate O’Beirne, who wrote a book called Women Who Make the World Worse. She is talking about radical feminists.
I remember her talking about a feminist psychologist who considers “excessive maternal attachment” a bad thing for babies. She was exploring ways to cure this EMA syndrome, mainly found in traditional families.
I hope your kids are better now. I have two out with the flu right now. You know, I first posted this in the Secular News Forum, then I asked to have it moved here. I thought it would get more feedback here.paramedicgirl:
Thanks for the link to an unbelievable article. I plan to discuss it with my children: sons and daughters.
And thanks too for the PM you sent me a week or so ago. I had 10 days of sick children and regret not sending you a reply. You were right, and if I ever make it back to that thread I’ll apologize.
Thanks again for the article! Can you post it on the CAF Catholic News Forum?
