fighting between Eastern and Orthodox in Israel shrine?

On the news it was reported that two different groups of priests, one Orthodox and the other Eastern(I believe) got into a fight at a shrine in Israel within the past week.

Priests fighting? Not arguing, hitting each other. Do you know what this is all about?

The OP must have been referring to the incident over the weekend at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Of all places to have fisticuffs…not to mention the people involved in it. And, it was not the first time either. I looked up the history of the “status quo” and it seems that because of the squabbling, there remains a ladder resting against an external wall which no one would touch! All because of “status quo”

Sadly this has become a bit of a non-news story in some regards - every year, once or twice a year, something ugly like this seems to occur between two or more parties.

I was telling my younger brother about all the fighting going on within the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and how really, as Christians, we should be ashamed.

Praying for unity among those of us who still follow the Apostles. We need their help to convert the protestants!
