Final push of prayers requested

i already posted in prayer intentions, but i would like to post here as I consider so many of you ‘friends’.

over the past few years we have had a lot of drama in our lives regarding my hub’s job. first his job was eliminated, then you all prayed us through finding him a new one. now it appears that he is in jeopardy in his current position.

I would like to humbly ask you all if you would offer up prayer for us in the next 24 hours? we are begging God’s mercy on the situation, that he can either somehow be spared in the current position or at least be reassigned to another position within the current school system.

it will be difficult for him to move forward if he is cut, since his current position was not long term and that will have to be reflected on his resume. the other big issue is that we are financially strapped still. we have made big strides on our debt snowball but still have a lot of debt which will be really difficult to pay off without his pay.

would you please pray for us? thanks to all!!

I KNOW the terror… my husband is out of work and my company is experiencing lay-offs TODAY. It’s horrible. 😦

You have my total sympathy and many prayers.
 
Praying for you: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

I will continue praying today but do not be afraid. God will provide and give you your daily bread and it will not only satisfy you, but you will live in His abundance. Trust God! Your prayers will be answered. God is with you always and is working for your good.

God, Source of life and Center of our being, with humility we place twk and her situation in Your hands. Protect her family, friends and her. Help her husband create a better future for the world, for the nation, and for his own.

Lift the desperation and fill him and twk with trust and hope. Give wisdom to those working on the issues of economic recovery and a renewed society. Teach them to value what is truly important in life and not let their heart and spirit shrink in despair and anxiety.

You are the Good God Who is still in charge of the universe. Humble us to learn from this experience and be purified and refined as beloved children of a loving God. You are our hope and life and support!

Jesus, I trust in You!

Amen! Not much to add to that very nice prayer! Please, Lord, hear our prayer!
 
WOW…such wonderful words from everybody. i am more peaceful today but still really scared of the outcome. the meeting is at lunchtime today.

my DH is pretty much convinced that he is done. we are thinking ahead and last night worked on resume and such. also contacted an interview/resume coach who specializes in displaced workers in his field. she is reasonably inexpensive and has an incredible track record. she talked with DH last night and seems quite empathetic to his scenario, but we think she will really benefit him in getting past a ‘being let go’ situation and boost his interview/resume skills so future employers won’t turn him away.

well, i appreciate continued prayers this morning as I nervously await the call from my husband early this afternoon…

Sure.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, please help twk001 with his hub’s problems. May he find the financial solutions and that everything goes well. Please assure that they have everything they need to have a healthy life style. Amen
