I am excited, this coming Sunday (November 22) our RCIA class will finally receive the Rite of Acceptance and Welcoming. I am thrilled that I will officially be a Catechumen. I feel truly blessed to be one step closer to joining the church. I can hardly wait until I am baptized and able to reveive The Eucharist.

Thanks be to God! I wish you all the best on the rest of your journey home!

Welcome home! My husband is a Catechumen to be received into the Church this Easter, as well! God bless you on your journey!

Hello,

My RCIA group will be taking part in our Rite of Entry this Sunday (29th November) when we will ecome a Catechumen. I am so excited and happy to be part of a fantastic group. Everyone makes me feel so welcome and I am also looking forward to receiving The Eucharist for the first time.
I love attending mass and everytime I receive a blessing from my priest I feel a presence with me.
I think that having this chace to take part in RCIA and become part of a family is so amazing that I can’t describe how it make me feel.

Thankyou:grouphug::signofcross:

Welcome home! I have to say, I feel some of your excitement by-proxy. My fiance is also in the swim team of '10, our rite of acceptance will happen on December 6th. I’m also a sponcor, and since I’m my fiance’s ride I’ve attended every single RCIA class from the very first day. Really looking forward to this year’s Easter Vigual 🙂

Just for clarity.
The Rite of ACCEPTANCE is for those not Baptized.
The Rite of WELCOME is for those already validly Baptized.
A clear distinction must be maintained between the two groups.

Many Blessings to all who will participate in either as well as those involved in the process.

In my RCIA group there are 12 of us and some are already baptized and some are not baptized. So for me it will be Rite of Welcome as I am already Baptized Church of England.

I think it is great that you are able to be there with your fiancee through out this process. My fiancee is also sponsoring someone in my group and has been there in every class with me.

I actually have a large support system in my class in the form of my fiancee’s family. His cousin and her husband as well as his sister’s fiancee are also in the process of joining the church. My future mother-in-law is my sponsor and my future father-in-law is the sponsor of one of the cousins. My future sister-in-law is also acting as a sponsor. Basically we take up about half of our class but it is so wonderful to be able to take this journey with so many “family” members around, it has not only helped my faith grow but also has allowed me to deepen my relationship with my soon to be family.

It is a very nice feeling, i myself had that rite last lent so i have been a catechumen for quite some time now, but the rest of my RCIA group had the rites at nov 15 so i was just there watching as i could not participate again.

I think it was easier for them as a group, i was far too nervous as i was the only one when i had my rite of acceptance at lent.

The best thing is that things happen quickly now, soon it will be christmas and then lent is not far away for finally ending up at easter vigil.

Happy Journey

Wow, how wonderful! We have a few families converting at the same time as well! Kids and everything, though the kids are seperated off into RCICA or whatever the kids RCIA for kids is lol 🙂
