Sorry, I just had to post this somewhere:

Long story short, I am a young man in the United States. Like so many young people in my country and around the world, I’ve strayed far from the word of God the last few years thinking that material and worldly desires could make me happy.

I’m here to say to any young men and women like me that it won’t. I’ve recently gone through a huge spiritual shift and found my way back to the Church and God, and I’ve seen incredibly positive results in my life so far. I have started reading the Bible every night before bed, praying whenever I can during the day, and can’t wait for Mass and especially to celebrate this Lent properly for the first time in my life. So again, I hope other young people will look away from money and fame for happiness, and look back to God and the Catholic Church. Be part of the solution, not the problem! God bless 👍

I am so glad you are home. I am a returning Catholic myself. I returned about 5 years ago.

How wonderful! As a pretty new convert I’m looking forward to practicing the disciplines of Lent for the very first time.

If you haven’t already, I recommend going to a priest and getting some spiritual direction. 🙂

Your post made me smile 🙂 because I saw myself in you. I too am fairly young (this side of 30 anyway ) and I have recently come back and started reading the Bible before bed, and looking forward to both Mass and Lent. Odd how similar our return has been isn’t it? Wonder if everyone else does the same thing because the Holy Spirit leads us to do those things 🙂

I’d also recommend praying the Rosary daily too, if you aren’t already 🙂
