Don’t be depressed. Obama said he would veto the bill if it came before him anyway. The longer this whole thing goes on, the more people are waking up and realizing what’s really going on.

My wife is actually considering getting rid of her IUD (hormone-free Paragard) as well. I never though that would happen.

She still has not made the appointment to get it removed yet, but I think she finally is starting to realize how unhealthy it is. (Besides the usual horror stories of possible complications, even under normal use the copper ions can cause long term toxicity. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19931365 There is LOTS more on this at Pubmed, but you have to know what to look for.)

She has checked out Taking Charge of Your Fertility from the library and we are starting to track her cycle.

She’s getting hers out this week. We successfully found the fertile window and detected ovulation (surprisingly easy once you know what to look for.) and managed to abstain through the fertile period (not fun, but not as bad as either of us were expecting.)

Still extremely nervous about “going live” with full NFP next cycle.
