I was mostly working in secret, but now I justcan’t keep silence anymore 🙂

Everything is going as greatly as it only could be possible!!! I know
that you should enjoy with me!
I’m a bit afraid of telling the details of the discernment process, but I must say that I will have a greatest “vocation journey” ever!

Everything is working with surely divine help and probably things are
kept under st.Dominic’s direct control! :)) Jus one thing I need to
complete is to receive visas for Italy and UK, because everything else
is already set. please pray that I will have the visa!!!
;))))

The Feast of St. Dominic, 8th august, in his sanctuary in Bologna, if
I only will get that visa… who invented EU visas at all?! Holy
Father Dominic didn’t need visas while travelling around Europe in
13th century! 🙂

So… The welcoming sisters in many cities, awaiting me
to meet with them. The possibility to explore at least dozen of
dominican communities 🙂 There are so many great congregations! Why
can’t I just hear voice of st.Dominic “I wish you to join this/or
that/ one?!”

I really envy to St.Faustina who’ve heard the voice from Heaven! 🙂

But well, st.Dominic gives me the great opportunity of visiting MANY
dominican shrines and convents, kiss and touch the relics of so many
great saints, pray to the Lord together ith Sisters and Friars in many
chapels… It is a gift from Our Lord and St.Dominic. I know that!

In 1994, when I was in Castel Gandolfo, the novitiate house of the
Sisters of S.Sisto; when I first time in my life encourented the
feeling that I am being called to join the Order; and I whispered to
st.Dominic “I love you more than my life”…

Just more dominican stuff to make you smile with me ;)

If I could dare of dreaming the *wild* dominican dreams, I really
wish Russia to have Dominican institutions for women without this
*INCREDIBLY UNJUST* age limit of 28/30 years :)
And so, may be many years later, a congregation I will be in, will
decide to make a foundation in Russia? What if I can persuade them? *))

Once, at one of our dominican meetings back in early 90's, the
father Ludwick (who was the great priest really, true blessing for
russian dominicans), was chatting with us jokingly.

And he said:
"I've saw a wonderful dream this night. I saw the women
dominican monastery near St.Petersburg, where orthodox and catholic
sisters were praying together"...

"I know, - one of the girls (**my namesake, Tatiana; russian orthodox by
that time, just like me; she joined the Catholic Church a bit later) -
laughed, pointing of me, - Tanya would be it's Prioress!"

"No, - he responded, - our Tanya would be the Foundress"...

"Foundress of WHAT?!" - everyone asked, staring at him.

"I won't tell you that for now", he said, with a smirk on his face.

Be sure that I'm not taking that as a "definite signs from heaven about my
vocation" or something like "Am I chosen or destinmed to something
great?"!:)) No way. I just love these moments of wonderful dominican events in
my life! and so want to share them.

I just found a journal "Bollettino di S.Domenico", Novembre-Dicembre
1994. At page 242, there our pilgrimage of 1994 was mentioned, with a
photo of my friends. The article is in Italian.

As far as I understand, our pilgrimage from Russia, in august 1994,
was indeed an event for dominican history:

it was first time when a mass in *russian* was served as public event
(not by a guest priest travelling of his own) at the Tomb of St.Dominic.

And, there were about 80 of us. 78 catholics and two russian orthodox
"dominican lovers"; me and my namesake Tatiana.

And now I can say (with a pride I can't avoid!!!), that I was the only one
who had the text of a Litany to St.Dominic in russian with myself. :)

So I was sent ahead with the priest, to recite the Litany in russian,
just before the tomb of our Holy Father Dominic.

I wasn't able to imagine this in the wildest dreams, when, in Spring
1992, the wish to find the information about St.Dominic appeared in my
mind. I don't know how this idea was put in my mind. I just became a
little obsessed with the idea and was telling to all my relatives and
friends that I want to find the life of St.Dominic, until I was brought
to the closed scientific Library of Academy of Fine Arts, and there
found a famous book of Lacordaire...

...* The book of Lacordaire, just few days ago, its modern russian edition,
was scanned by my friends, sent through OCR and made accessible in the
Internet.

I can't do anything about it; I don't know how it happened, why I so
"fell in love" with this Saint. There are so many great saints in
Heaven. And my orthodox friends were frequently telling me "Aren't
there enough saints for you?! Why on earth would you pray to one who belonged
to schismatic(heretic) church (russian orthodox people like to call
the Catholic Church as "schismatic" and even "heretic" one) -- and who
isn't canonized by Orthodox Church? Praying to a catholic saint is a
sin you need to confess!!"

But I prayed to him anyway. I was afraid, but kept praying to him. I
knew that he is a saint in Heaven to whom I may pray - and what the
orthodox people can't deny me asking for his intercession.
And, a quote from St.Augustine I once found, was really helpful for
me, making things clear:

"Sancti Regno Dei praedestinati, dividi ab Ecclesia nullo modo possunt"
(hope you can translate this from Latin)

Inity, that’s wonderful news! :extrahappy:

I hope that your journey is a joyful and rewarding one! You’ve got a long way to travel, spiritually as well as physically, so I also pray that you’ll be so inspired by the different communities you visit that you’ll never get tired on the trip. When are you leaving? (Good luck with your visa, too.)

Your dream about bringing Dominican Institutions to Russia is a powerful one, and I’d say it’s worth thinking about once you’re secure in a community. It would be a very difficult thing to do, given what you’ve told us about the Church in Russia, but if God truly does want to use you as His instrument in that way, then what an amazing vocation that would be!

My journey is starting in August. The most blessed month indeed. The St.Dominic’s Day, before all, speaks for itself. My baptizm date is also in August; I just don’t know the exact date, probably 5th. I need to check out the records in the Orthodox parish I was baptized, but I don’t know if they even had any records about baptisms made in Soviet Times.

I want to be in Bologna in the most memorable days related to St.Dominic. At the day of his death, and the the day of the official solemnity… I just want to sit there near his tomb all day long, and follow to all the prayers recited in the basilica at this day.

And, I’m planning to beome a massive benefactor for the Order and “spamming” the officials of the Curia to take me seriously… well I hope they will take me seriously.

You can mention in your prayers about me, so the hearts of the leaders of the Dominican Order, will be opened, and they will Accept the gifts and donations I’m humbly begging them to accept!!! 🙂

As I told them today, I just can’t make this gift to st.Dominic himself directly, because by the laws he is not a citizen of Russia… -)

Well, I really beg them humbly … but I know why are they so “cautious”! In the case they’d accept my gifts, after my death, I will have the guaranteed prayers of all the Order around the world, until the end of days, at the day of all benefactors of the Order of Preachers, so it’s a very tempting “deal”!!! 🙂

So how much would you pay for that? I believe even 100.000 euro would be not enough 🙂

God bless you Inity! And may all Dominicans from the heavenlies surround you as you continue your journey…

God Bless you Inity and good luck with the visas and the trip.

Good luck on your journey! I am in contact with the Dominican Sisters of the English Congregation of St Catherine of Siena at the moment, I’m hoping to be able to pay a visit to their convent in London this year.

I will hold you in my thoughts and prayers 🙂

I will visit them too, I’m making a trip targeted to UK dominican communities in the end of September - beginning of October.

There are many graces being sent to Russia through the intercession of Dominican Saints. I know that, i fel that, I just SEE that.

The akathist and service dedicated to St.Dominic according to Byzantine Rite: it was just made known to me that it’s creation is in process!
The russian text of Life of St.Dominic: just appears in Russian in the internet!
There are more and more people who want to ascend to the Full communion with Rome, from the Russian Orthodoxy and other denominations, or requeststs for baptisms and katechisations… i just see it all around, happening around me, and I feel the working network of graces distributed between all of us!

I have many inspiring thoughts about spreading the Dominican Charism in Russia, indeed!
Just everything MUST work!!! I know it’s God’s plan…

(and of course it’s secret plan of Vatican to convert all Russia to the Catholic Faith :))))
