I don’t know where to start. I have so much to say, and so little of it is relevant to my question. It looks like we may be loosing our third pregnancy in a row. I pray that I am wrong, but being realistic we will likely have a miscarraige in the next week or so. I know during each of the past two our greif has gotten worse each time, and my wife suffered from post-partem depression. If we loose this child, I don’t know how we will handle it; and I know whatever I feel, my wife feels even more. I want to be ready if we need help dealing with this.
Never having seen a councelor, I was curious what kinds of things you look for. More specificaly, any terminology for one with catholic beliefs. I looked in the yellow pages, and there is nothing specifying religion at all. I would think this is an important factor when finding someone to help deal with your problems and grief. We will be in a very weak emotional state, and I don’t want anyone pushing secular views regarding our loss on us (i.e. it was just a mass of cells, not a child). Would our parish maybe have recomendations? Why am I asking you, I should just call them. If I say it out loud right now it will become so much more real. I didn’t realize how hard this is hitting me already until I started typing this.
