Finding your own path to salvation and forgetting about others

This is a debate I had with a relative, she says that we should find our own paths to salvation but Jesus told us to preach the gospel.

In a very real sense every DOES have to find their own path to salvation.
If they are able to find it at all…

The question is whether one is willing to accept the help offered by God through His Church.

Do they want to use a road map or just “wing it”…

Your friend might be thinking of Philippians 2:12-13

Yes.

Then she should read John 14 and compare that with her beliefs. That’s my advice.

It is the duty of every Christian to do evangelical or apostolic work. Therefore, you save yourself not by only being a good person, but by being the light of Christ, the ultimate aim of a Christian. Spread the gospel, and you will have saved yourself (assuming you yourself are not a hypocrite etc.)
