I really don’t know how this is going to be responded to.

Has anyone heard of the firm Swift Sword Productions? I recieved an email claiming that this firm has found satanic images in photos used by the Diocese of Toronto and EWTN. Mr. Calace (who?) is the one making these accusations.

I have yet to find more info on this through the internet. I did recieve a link to some of the “photos”. It took nearly all day to load, and then I could barely see anything. A lot of the so-called “images” look like nothing to me. It is a lot of medieval art with apparent “faces of devils” etc.

I just wanted to know if anyone else has recieved an email like this or even heard of anything like this.

What is the Link? And what do they mean by “Satanic”? Some evangelicals think pictures of Mary are satanic.

Here is a link :):

The name was Calace, & the firm is called Silver Sword International

**These are all the links I found. The last is from Silver Sword International. It does not seem to be a major story. If anything, the reporting looks rather overheated. **##

Curious how I couldnt find any pictures…

Buzzwords… “American Catholic”…MAJOR RED FLAG

Upcoming FILM…ah… buy my product…see my product… etc…

Ewtn is as Orthodox Catholic as the Flag is Red, White & Blue.

Cassman, perhaps you can post a copy of the email you received?

In the words of the Generation X rap group Public Enemy, “DON’T BELIEVE THE HYPE!” (not yelling here, just the way they brought it to the music).

Anti-Catholic groups of varying colors (normal Protestants and Latin Protestants) do this all the time. In fact we used to be plagued by these types on the Al Kresta Message Boards until Al took definitive action. As for getting them via email…simply delete them and ignore them. For, Christ said we would know them by their fruit and EWTN has born out great, great fruit.

Your unworthy brother in Christ and by the Grace of God a future Maronite priest,
Donnchadh

No doubt these are the flavor of folks who also believe the Catholic Church has orchestrated every major assassination and war for the last century. What puzzles me is why Pope John Paul II would organize his own assasination attempt?

I was just on the website. There was a lot of claims, but not much else. Just another bigoted anti-catholic website. One time my wife asked me why people were always after our church. I told her that when you are number one, everybody tries to take you down.

I can’t recall where I’ve seen it before, but the so-called “expert” the group relies upon sees “pornography” hidden within or encoded into every piece of art/every visual image (advertising). So it goes.

Fact,

They are the ones who carry the mark of the beast. They are part of “the many” who walk away from Jesus in John 6:66.

Wolves in sheep clothing!

One of the most loved people in my life struggles from mental illness. This sounds like something she would say when she is having an episode, and becomes paranoid and halluciantes. If you have ever seen the movie “A Beatuiful Mind.”… enough said.

Unfortunately there are people willing to follow because they are turned on by the scandal and fear elements, especially if the person is charismatic… Remember Waco Texas Branch Davidians? Enough said

I guess it could be more calculated and he could just be out for the money or fame???

From their own website…
…Mr. Calace used his visual art expertise to confirm the images, and subsequently uncovered a trend of demonic church artwork…
So these people need a visual arts ‘expert’ to tell them what they are seeing?
I imagine those that believe this story have given up the gift of sight in favor of being told what to see.

.02 duly deposited.

Hmmm…I wonder if you flip the image (kinda like playing the record backwards) if you get a different picture…LOL!!! 😛

OK, I admit I’m not that good at jokes! heh heh

This is a perfect example of someone seeing what they want to see. This is reminiscent to me of a book I once saw about “666”, which basically found it everywhere.
I suggest anyone who’s really curious about this, go to the Oregon Catholic Press website, and download their printable catalog. It’s an 8MB PDF, it shows the cover image that this idiot sees the “666” in. FWIW, the image doesn’t look like an “exploding cross” to me. It looks like a cross of fire. What’s “exploding” out of it are actually musical notes and symbols radiating out, rather clever for a book of music.
I’ll also add that his inane comments about artists and creating a piece of artwork are ridiculous. Far from planning every minute detail, some stuff (for lack of a better word), just “happens” (I like to think the Holy Spirit guides me). The sweep of the brush, the bleed of a watercolor, the tremble of the hand holding the pen, etc.
I’d be afraid to know what this guy see in a Rorschach ink-blot test.:whacky:

You got that right!

People hate America and the Catholic Church for a number of reasons…but the MAIN is simply cause we are the BEST! AKA…numero uno…#1!

👍

Its been YEARS since I read the book…but wasnt there something in Karls book (Funda… & Cathol’’’’’) about crazy Jimmy Swaggert claiming that the Dove or the sun in a stained Glass image was something demonic and NOT our representation of the Holy Spirit? 😛

Yea…brothers & sisters…that thar is all the evidence we need! We have our proof…whore of babylon!!!
