If you are familiar with this devotion, you may have been blessed as I was to see that today, Feb. 2, is also the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. There is much to be pondered. First Fridays were requested by Jesus Himself, appearing to St. Margaret Mary, asking that reparation be made to His Sacred Heart which has loved men so much and received so little in return. His Heart is aflame with Love for us, pierced on the Cross and emptied - yet he is treated with coldness.
Today’s Feast of His Presentation – how touching it is to remember the Baby Jesus brought to the temple to be presented to His Father – so poor and so humble – yet King of Kings and Lord of Lords! As an infant His Light is noticed by few, yet He came to us to be Light of the World.
Come Lord Jesus, Meek and Humble of Heart. Make our hearts like Yours.
May the Heart of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, be praised adored and loved, at every moment in all the tabernacles of the world, even to the end of time.
