First home purchase & blessing

I’m not sure this belongs here but I didn’t know where else to put it. Please forgive me if it should be posted elsewhere.

My husband and I are on the hunt to purchase our first home. I know that once we have purchased one I will have the home blessed by our parish priest. I have a nice crucifix and a lovely Bavarian Madonna statue that I hope to find prominent places for in the house. I also have St. Benedict medals that I will place at every entrance (window/door). Is there anything else spiritually that I should plan on arranging or doing for our first home? Also, if you have invaluable advice that you wish you’d known prior to purchasing your first home, feel free to share!

I have placed Holy Water fonts on the door post of every room in my home. A statue of The Kitchen Madonna in my kitchen; as well as Crucifixes in every room. In addition, I have a Prayer Corner with various statues.

Where we attend church, the priest wears black street clothes (black dress shirt and black slacks) when not performing official duties. When he is performing official duties, he wears his roman collar, etc.
